Hello Internet peoplez, Sorry for the impromptu hiatus from Shift. I'd like to blame it on school, but it started before school so I'm left with blaming it on laziness. To help make it up to you I'm going to try to get a few chapters out at the old pace (ie around one every week or so) and I may give some insight into where the story's headed and where it was originally planned to go. About right now. Part of the delay was caused by me scrapping various parts of chapters 12-18 multiple times for various reasons, including parts being completely absurd, very cliche or just bad. like the title says, i'm writing chapter 11 right now. it should be done and posted today or tomorrow, unless there's some unforeseeable tragedy that stops me from writing (like a virus outbreak :P) the answer to the question i asked (why Nick said 'what the hell' at the end of chapter 10) will be in chapter 12 so keep guessing. the cake is still up for grabs! ;)
